(b)Educational Qualification
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board with atleast 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD)/  Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognised Institute or University or Board with atleast 65% of marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD)/  Degree in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronic Engineering from a recognised University with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD).

  • For General/ OBC category: Rs. 600.00/-

Delhi, Bihar produce top engineers in India:

 The best talent pool of engineers is in Delhi, Bihar and Jharkhand, while those from Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu are least employable, said a report.

Exams for state civil services officers forpromotion to IAS

State civil servants will now be required to clear a Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) written examination and interview to earn a promotion to the three all India services — IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service. 

Until now, state services officers were being selected for IAS, IPS and IFoS on the basis of their seniority and annual confidential reports (ACRs).
